Shileen’s first experience with yoga wasn’t in the practice room, it was attempting the super-challenging P90X program! Soon after, she found her way onto a mat in the hot room at Moksha Yoga Burlington, where she quickly became a very familiar face. What does Shileen love about yoga? “Yoga helps keep me fit: body, mind, and soul. Yoga has helped me learn more about myself and has transformed me more than any other experience in my life.” Wow!
With a strong dance and dance-teaching background, teaching yoga was a natural transition for Shileen. She traveled to Montreal for the Moksha teacher training in 2010. Shileen says her family and friends inspire confidence in her and have supported her yoga journey along the way…you can often find her whole family on their mats in class at MYB! Fellow students and teachers inspire her to strive to be better and always grow and learn as a teacher.
Outside of yoga, Shileen keeps busy playing sports and acting in film projects. She’s also quite the cake-baker…yum!
